Innovative HVAC Upgrade Delivers Comfort & Compliance in Ossining

Energia engineered and designed a state-of-the-art Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heat pump system at Claremont Elementary School in Ossining. Integrated with existing unit ventilators, the system provides simultaneous heating and cooling, supports phased construction, reduces the building’s carbon footprint, and meets New York State classroom temperature legislation—all while enhancing comfort and efficiency in an occupied school environment.

Energia Leads $5.9M Energy Upgrade Across Tarrytown School District

Energia, serving as Engineer of Record, has finalized a $5.9 million Energy Performance Contract (EPC) for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, spanning five district buildings.

The project scope includes:

  • Solar PV installations (rooftop and canopy)
  • Comprehensive LED lighting upgrades
  • Building Management System (BMS) enhancements
  • Weatherization and insulation improvements
  • Roof replacements

Designed to balance performance and long-term value, the project is expected to achieve a 33% annual energy reduction and deliver significant operational savings for the district.
