REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF PARTNERSHIPS
Joel Lopez is responsible for bringing Energia’s Proven Process for Energy Saving Success across the country by delivering customized solutions to convert energy-inefficient facilities into world class environments. Leveraging his more than 20 years in the Texas K12 and local government marketplace, Joel will bring his impact strategies to school districts across the U.S., saving them energy and saving them money.
In his most recent background, Joel worked for ABM Industries, dedicating 3 years to successfully implement a $33M project. Prior to that, Joel spent 13 years with Energy Services Company Johnson Controls, where he became an expert in Energy Performance Contract (EPC) execution. This background perfectly positions Joel to identify and implement successful partnerships for Energia’s EPC consultant services.
Earlier in his career, Joel spent 4 years with Direct Energy, Inc and another 5 with InLine Electric Solutions of Texas. He also worked with the Department of Defense for nearly 15 years. His diverse portfolio includes projects of all sizes, ranging from $100k up to $33M.
A native Texan, Joel is a member of the Texas Energy Services Coalition (SECO), and the Mexican American School Board Association (MASBA), among others. He has achieved numerous accolades during his business tenure including the Diamond award from the President’s Club at ABM, and lead role for “Market Team of the Year” for two years in a row (2015 & 2016) at Johnson Controls. Joel has a degree from Park College as well as the Air Force Institute of Technology.
