Solar Photovoltaic System, City of Waterbury, Mark Lane Landfill

Project Overview

The City of Waterbury plans to take advantage of the solar power generation possibility on the site of a closed City owned landfill, by implementing a Land Lease Agreement with BQ Energy to design, build and operate a solar system. This will allow an otherwise unusable plot of land within the City to be repurposed with Green, renewable energy that generates revenue to the City over the course of 20 years.
